Year Three: Day Eight!

Good afternoon, folks! It's been a long day for me already. The vocal ensemble that I'm in performed in a couple area churches this morning. And I didn't get to sleep at a decent hour... So, after this blog post, I'm definitely going to take a nap! Sunday afternoon naps are the best, aren't they?

DAY EIGHT: 

Homemade sweatshirts are the best, aren't they? Especially when they are so delightfully tacky without really intending to be. I found this one in a local thrift store, and just couldn't comprehend how someone would want to part with such a masterpiece... 

You really can't beat iron-on decals and glitter glue/paint. Instead of buying Christmas gifts this year, why not make a sweatshirt for your loved ones? They would probably be cheaper in the long run. Right??

The back of the sweatshirt is pretty great too because the paint is starting to come off...

Hopefully today's post will inspire you to be creative this Christmas.

SOUNDTRACK OF THE DAY:

Alison Sudol, who goes by A Fine Frenzy, is one of my favorite artists. Her music would be more adult alternative/pop, and often has a more melancholic feel. Her Christmas EP was released in 2009. This 6 track EP has 3 covers of classic Christmas tunes, but what makes this release stand out is the 3 original songs. "Redribbon Foxes," "Winter White," and "Wish You Well" are definitely reason enough to check out Oh Blue Christmas.
