Year 5, Day 25!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you all have had a wonderful day so far! I sure have! I had a lovely morning with my folks, and I worked in the afternoon. Movie theaters never close! But I'm definitely not complaining. It's been an excellent day! 

DAY 25!

Ok, so the vest that I wanted to wear all day didn't fit... I'm really sad about it, but I took a picture of me in it anyway. 

See? No one wants to see that in person. Gross.

I took it off to take more pictures because you have to see the whole thing up close.

It is quite a sight to see! 

First, there is Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus and some sheep...

I'm a but confused as to why Mary is wearing purple, but we'll just go with it.  Look at that intricate sequin and beadwork! Exquisite!

Next, we have the angel.

She's just happy to be there.

Peace on Earth and stuff.

Next is the 3 Wise Men...

They look like they are part giraffe. 

I just love how shiny this vest is! It's perfect! 

But since it was way too snug, I wore a different vest today.

The "pockets" have have toys and candy in them! The buttons look like peppermints.

The back is Santa's Workshop! 

I have received a lot of compliments on this sweater at work today.

Today's mug is awesome.

 It looks kind of ordinary... just a typical Merry Christmas mug...

But...

IT PLAYS MUSIC AND IT'S REALLY ANNOYING!!! 

It's light sensitive, so I keep it in the closet so it doesn't keep going off.

It's magical. Kind of.

Year 5, Day 24!

Christmas is tomorrow! I can't believe it! 

Today was my dad's birthday, so we did some celebrating. 

I also went 2 different Christmas Eve services. I am all ready for tomorrow! 

DAY 24!

Today's sweater is a bit snug... I didn't try it on before I bought it.

Wearing it requires sucking in my gut. 

I need to work on that. I say that every year. 

Polka dot! Are they supposed to resemble snow? Sure.

Christmas houses. 

I wish I had huge candy canes at my house.

Year 5, Day 23!

Yes, I do apologize again that this post is late in the evening. I don't really have a good excuse this time. But after today, I only have 2 left! Since I have the whole day off tomorrow, I should be able to get a post up in a more timely fashion. It's also getting to the time of the blog where my family is sick of it, so they will be relieved when it's all over. I do hope you've enjoyed it this year! 

DAY 23!

I found this shirt when I was out thrift shopping with my friend Marcia a couple months ago, and I knew I had to get it. Who doesn't love festive flamingos?!

It's like the Zootopia version of the Rockettes! 

I bet they are dancing to "Jingle Bell Rock." 

Since women's shirts look weird on me, I opted to wear a polo under it. 

(All my readers just whispered "Thank God" under their breath.)

There are also bits of holly and music notes embroidered onto the arm. 

It's so beautiful.

Year 5, Day 22!

So today was fun. 

I spilled coffee on my work laptop. The good news is that it only destroyed the keyboard. $50 and a new keyboard later, it was good as new. It all worked out, but I was really nervous for a couple hours this afternoon.

I told my friend Kendra about it, and she said that it amazes her how many things go wrong in my life. I told her that I like to astonish people. 

DAY 22!

I love to laugh, especially when my sister is home. 

A couple weeks ago, my friend Jennifer sent me a message and told me that she had a sweater that she would like to donate to the cause. This is it! 

I've been on a bear kick this year. It's a reoccurring theme. 

I think I only have one more that has bears on it for this year, but they aren't the main focus. 

Wait... Or are they dogs? I don't know.

Year 5, Day 21!

Hey everyone! I hope you all survived Monday! I had a long day at work, but we had our work Christmas party tonight. It was fun! I work with some pretty cool people.

I'm trying to get this typed out before I fall asleep! Here we go...

DAY 21!

The classic big Christmas tree on chest.

You can't go wrong with that. It's like a standard.

I also enjoy the star beads in a sky of red. 

It's great... 

However the turtleneck collar got a bit itchy.

We have several today, and I'm so excited because they are all excellent! 

First, we have my very dear friend Lauren with her dog Luna! 

It's so cute. I can't handle it. 

Next, Allison sent me some photos as well! She and I went to the same college. 

Her church we had a ugly sweater contest. Here is a picture of her as well as a picture of her small group North Ridge Community Church in Johnson City, TN.

Looking fabulous, everyone! I love them all! 

Finally, Gary sent me some photos of what he calls the ugliest Christmas tie ever. 

Here's a picture of the front. 

I'll just let you read his commentary, because it's quite excellent. 

He says, "Note a few things. First the Christmas balls are lined up in an odd irregular straight-line pattern.  The tie which should be red in the background is actually orange. There's the nuclear explosion Star atop of the tree which is wonderfully inexplicable.   And the entire tree is off center."

"The inside silk liner is actually simulated holiday gift wrap. The ironic thing is that this was long before the current fad involving ugly attire. Meaning someone really thought this was nice.  Including my mother, who gave it to me as a serious Christmas gift back in the 90s."

Year 5, Day 20!

It's been long day! Are weekends supposed to be relaxing? Because I'm exhausted! My sister just made it home for Christmas, so I'm currently cuddling with her dog while I type this. 

DAY 20!

Today's sweater vest has bears dressed up as an elf, angel, reindeer, and Santa!.,

I wore it to church this morning, so of course I added the tie.

It also has jingle bells for buttons!

Year 5, Day 19!

Ok, now I'm all caught up! 

I'm really tired today because I feel like I've been running nonstop for the last 2 or 3 days. As soon as I'm done writing this post I'm going to take a nap... So it might be a short one. haha!

DAY 19! 

Today at the movie theater, we had a free showing of THE POLAR EXPRESS. It was such a fun a event! We all wore our pajamas. There was even a visit from Santa himself! 

I got matching Christmas Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pajamas with to of the girls I work with! 

We're precious. 

Then we got to meet SANTA!
