Year Four, Day Twenty Five!

Christmas is here! I can't believe it! 

This past year has gone by insanely fast!

I also can't believe this is my last post for 2014!

I'd like to thank YOU for your support of my weirdness and for keeping this joke alive for the last four years. I'm glad you've come along with me on this Christmas journey. 

It's been a wild adventure! 

DAY TWENTY FIVE

This is it! Day 25!

I know it isn't the most ugly sweater that you've ever seen, but I have two reasons why I have saved this one for last this year.

1. The religious aspect. I've never been the type of person to shove my beliefs down your throat, so I won't type a sermon here. However, I will say that to me, Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. 

2. Precious Moments CREEP ME OUT. Seriously. I think I offended my step-mom earlier when I said that because she collects them. I would also like to apologize to any of you out there who like them.  If you're into the big heads with the sad puppy dog eyes, be my guest. But I just don't get it! No thank you!

My sister is joining me again today on this post! 

My aunt brought me this shirt back from Florida over Thanksgiving, but it was WAY too small for me, so I had my sister model it for me. Check out the flip-flops and palm trees!

Hooray for Ugly Christmas Apparel!

Did you know that you can get Christmas sweaters for inanimate objects?? 

This is a new concept for me. I got this Christmas sweater in my stocking this morning...

It's supposed to be for a wine bottle, but I don't currently have any wine in the house... 

Maybe my friend Jameson will grow into it.

MUG SHOT

My friend Jill Jansen and her family got me this personalized mug for Christmas! It's so cute, I just had to use it for the last day of my blog! It was so sweet of them to get this for me!

Several other people got me mugs this year, and I wish I could have featured them all this year. But don't worry! They are still loved! If I'm back next year, they might make an appearance!

My friend Morgan sent me this awhile back. She said her husband got this as a gift from his work. Goes right along with the one I posted above!

Next, my dear friend Lauren Good sent me a picture of her lovely Christmas sweatshirt! 

She wanted to make sure you noticed the classic puffy paint.

My friend Jackie Hughes sent me this picture of her husband holding her dog and asked "Is it tacky if my dog is classy?"

I responded, "Yes because no matter how classy they look, dressing up your animals is tacky."

Heather Moore sent me this picture of her cousin Morgan last night. Morgan wore this marvelous sweatshirt to Christmas Eve dinner. She found it on Etsy! Nice!

Last but not least, Rebecca Miller is up to her shenanigans again. She sent me these pictures of her dressed up as the ol' man himself!

Amy Grant Christmas music is my absolute favorite. I grew up listening to her, and she was my mom's favorite. Listening to this music always makes me feel a little bit closer to my mom. I miss her so much, especially around this time of year.

Year Four, Day Twenty Four!

HOORAY! CHRISTMAS IS TOMORROW!

I'm so excited! Are you excited?!

Today is my dad's birthday, so we're just hanging out around the house today. Later this evening we'll go to our church's Christmas Eve service. 

We're almost done with the blog for the season!

I don't know what a rose tree has to do with Christmas, but it sure is pretty! 

It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

I just got back from seeing The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies with my sister.

Year Four, Day Twenty Two!

Wow! Today's post is coming at you even later than yesterday's post! I've been on the run since 6 this morning, and I'm just now sitting down to a glass of wine and my first season of SMASH. So what if this is the 10th time watching it?! I will never let it go. Freaking Ellis.

SANTA EXPLOSION!

I got SO many compliments on my sweater today while I was out shopping with my sister and grandma. My favorite was this old man came up to me and said, "Excuse me. I just wanted to tell you how much I like your sweater! I know that they all wear the ugly Christmas sweaters, but yours isn't ugly at all! It's beautiful!"  He was the most adorable old man I've ever met!

Year Four, Day Twenty One!

HI THERE!

Happy Christmas Sunday, folks! I hope you've had a wonderful day!

I apologize that this post is coming at you so late in the evening. I've been on the run non-stop since 8 am. I sang at church, and then my family went out to eat and went shopping all afternoon. I bought some Alice in Wonderland plates. We just got home! So, let's not waste any more time and get to today's sweater!

DAY TWENTY ONE

I wore this sweater to church today and got lots of compliments as per usual. I dressed it up for church like I usually do (as seen in these pictures) but when we were out and about, I just wore a Snoopy Christmas T-shirt that I've had for years underneath it. I got SO many compliments at the mall, especially from the gals who work in the Earthbound store. One guy pointed at me and yelled, "Now THAT is a Christmas sweater! YES!"  You know me. Just spreading that Christmas cheer.

However, this music is good stuff. If you know me well enough, you know that I'm obsessed with the Broadway community. One of my favorite Broadway stars, Matt Doyle, just released a Christmas album with his group The Whiskey 5 today! It's called "Make the Season Bright."

It's INSANELY good. It has immediately became one of my favorite Christmas albums.  My favorite track is their cover of "River." It's not on iTunes yet, but it is on CDBaby. If you want to purchase the album, click HERE. If not, here's a live performance of Matt Doyle singing "O Holy Night." 

I want his voice.

Also, side note. I tweeted about the album's release today, and he favorited it AND retweeted it.

Year Four, Day Twenty!

I went to see the new Annie movie last night.

"Hard Knock Life" is stuck in my head. HELP.

I hope everyone is having a splendid Saturday. I've been pretty lazy so far, but I need to start cleaning to get ready for this week. I also need to wrap a few presents. Christmas is almost here!
