YEAR 9, DAY 7!

We love a homemade Christmas sweater.

At our local community theater, they were cleaning out the costume storage room. This (as well as several others) was made for a production of Steel Magnolias several years ago. I received them because of obvious reasons. A lazy Saturday called for a nice sweatshirt to lounge in.

Year 9, Day 6!

WOW. I have been on the move since 6 am this morning. It is now 9:30 pm and I JUST now have a moment to sit down to type out this post. Today was a GREAT day! We had our office Christmas party and I got the CUTEST Superman mug. I had piano lessons after work and then went straight into concert prep for our choir concert. It's been so much fun!

YEAR 9, DAY 6

I'm beary sorry this post is so late, but I think this sweater is so cute that it's worth the wait! 

I am officially in love with this sweater. It's so cute and comfy. Just look at that cute little bow tie! 

I ran into the store for a few minutes and a whole group of women complimented me on it. I felt so fab! 

I only wish it was *slightly* bigger but it still looks cute.

Year 9, Day 5!

We're almost to the weekend, kids! Today at work was one of our client's holiday lunch, and I was invited to go. However, my team felt it wasn't appropriate to wear a Christmas sweater to the event because we wanted to be professional. I was kind of bummed, but I totally understood. Just because I have to look professional for work functions doesn't mean I can't look ridiculous online, right? Right. Because that's what I've been doing for the last 8 years.


YEAR 9, DAY 5!

A Christmas Ostrich?! Is that a thing?? I guess it is!

I got this sweater on clearance last year and I love it. I'm not sure that I've ever associated ostriches with Christmas. Upon further deep research (that took all of 3 seconds on Google), there is this children's book....

The more you know. 

That's all I got.

Hi babes! 

In case you were wondering, I'm in an WAYYYY better mood than I was yesterday. Still insanely busy and my to-do list isn't getting any shorter... but at least I'm finding some motivation. (Sleep, eating healthy, and drinking water helps immensely. WHAT A CONCEPT.)

There's a Christmas forest on my shirt today! 

My friend Jenny let me borrow today's shirt! I'm kind of obsessed with it and I don't want to give it back.

The best comment I received was "Well look who is super festive today!"

I feel good today.

Year 9, Day 3!

Do you ever feel like you've been hit by a train, and then the train reversed and hit you again, only to go forward again just to make sure it got you? Did that sentence make any sort of sense? I'm exhausted! So much to do this week and not enough time or energy. I realize this post is so late in the day, but I've only just now had a few moments to spare to type. After this, I have a mountain of work to dive into... So yeah. Thrilling. The Christmas spirit has yet to set in. I don't have my tree up yet. I'm just all over the place.

I borrowed today's sweater vest from my good friend Jennifer! Even if I'm feeling a bit Scrooge-like today, it's super cute! 

 It had some jingle bells, but they fell off. (Sorry, Jen! I kept them for you.) It's a bit small, but I got several compliments on it today.

Year 9, Day 2!

Who else is on the struggle bus today?

The Monday after a holiday weekend is DREADFUL and I can't seem to stay awake or stay focused. I meant to type this earlier, but I couldn't quite find the motivation. I'm feeling extra lethargic today! I'm sorry if I kept you waiting!

Since I knew today was going to be a struggle, I opted for a more comfortable look today. You can't go wrong with a sweatshirt. 

It's a bit tight, so it's not the most flattering look. I've gained weight. Help.

Year 9, Day 1!

Hello, is this thing still on? 

Welcome back to Brennan's 25 Days of Ugly Christmas Apparel: Your favorite tacky Advent Calendar! 

If you're friends with me on Facebook, you may have seen a post last week about trying my best to do this project again this year. With work, school, and the usual holiday chaos, I'm busier than ever. Christmas sweaters, even from the thrift stores, can be very pricey. HOWEVER, I'm determined to make sure to give you new content every day. 

Okay, I have a paper to finish, so let's get on to the goods.

YEAR 9, DAY 1

Even though there's no snow yet, I figured we could kick this year off with some classic snowmen! This sweater is very cozy. My step-mom has already called dibs on it. 

Last year, my dear friend William Cooley took all of my photos and he did an AMAZING job. However this year, I haven't even had time to reach out to him to see if he wanted to do them again this year. (If you're reading this, Billy, I'm sorry I haven't reached out! I love you. Please forgive me.) In lieu of a photographer, please enjoy this iPhone selfie at a slightly awkward angle. 

The wind was ridiculous this morning, so my hair was blowing all over the place... so enjoy this slightly candid featuring the Domino's next door.
