Year 10, Day 1!

It's the greatest time of year, guys, gals, and non-binary pals! We're back!

IT'S YEAR TEN! Who would have thought that this nonsense would have lasted so long?!

How's your 2020 going so far?! I hope you all are doing well and staying safe out there. For me, life is a bit chaotic right now. I'm in the final few weeks of my grad school program, I'm working a relatively new full-time job, and I still work part-time at my church. I spent Thanksgiving alone in quarantine because I was exposed to the virus... But thankfully, I did not end up getting it (yet... *knocks on wood*).  Life, especially holidays, when you're single, living by yourself, and trying to survive in a worldwide pandemic can be a bit sad! Despite being a bit chunkier than last year, I'm healthy and I'm trying my best to be optimistic. So that's why I'm more excited than usual to be back doing this blog. We can use some extra Christmas cheer this year, right?!

A few things are different about this year... Last year, the blog itself took a GIANT nosedive in views. With the blog link itself being blacklisted from Facebook, I did not get as many people visiting the blog itself. It's okay! I'm still spreading my cheer on the main Facebook page, the Instagram page, and Twitter. Some folks just like to see the picture and move on. That being said, I might not put *quite* as much effort into the blog portion each day. I'm not abandoning it by any means, but I'm juggling quite a bit in my life at the moment. I kind of stopped giving you a "Soundtrack of the Day" each day at the end of last year, so I've decided to officially retire that segment (unless I'm *really* feeling a specific album or song).  Everyone has their own music tastes, and after 9 years, and I'm fresh out of ideas!  I will still totally 100% feature guest pictures, but I probably won't specifically ask for them either. Y'all know how to get in touch with me.

HOWEVER. Two of my very dear friends made me some Christmas face masks and I am SO pumped! I won't have a new one every day, but I can look cute and safe at work. Huzzah!

So... without further ado...

YEAR 10, DAY 1!

I decided to go the more "traditional" route for the first sweater of the year. A red sweater with a Christmas tree? Truly an iconic look, if you ask me.

My mask was made by my good friend Jennifer Boatman at Wonderfully Made!

That's all I have for today! Stay tuned, folks... I've got some great sweaters lined up for this year. I can't wait!

xoxo,

Brennan

Year 9, Day 25!

The day is finally here! I hope you are having the most WONDERFUL day with your family, friends, and loved ones. It's been an awesome morning here at the Tracy family house. My heart is full.

YEAR 9, DAY 25!

This one might be my favorite. I might have said that already about the fast-food one the other day, but this one takes the cake.

I don't know who decided that a Jesus and Titanic mashup would be a great idea, but I think it's GENIUS!

When I walked into my dad's house, he could barely contain his excitement because there was a Titanic-themed gift in my stocking... A piece of coal from the actual Titanic! Yes, I got coal in my stocking. I've been naughty.

I had a discussion with a friend about this sweater to see if it was sacrilegious or not. I think God has a sense of humor, so we decided it was more funny than anything.

Year 9, Day 24!

The penultimate blog post! We're almost to Christmas, folks! Today, I had to go into work for a little while, had breakfast with a coworker, had lunch with my dad because it's his BIRTHDAY! I have a few things to do to get ready for tonight's Christmas Eve service this afternoon. It's an EXCELLENT day. I hope you're having a wonderful time!

YEAR 9, DAY 24!

Nothing says Christmas like... dinosaurs?!

I bought this sweater on clearance at Kohls over the summer. It was a great deal.

Year 9, Day 22 & 23!

LOL another double post.

Yesterday, I spent most of the day working on my final project for my grad school class that was due at 11:00 pm last night. Of course I put it off until the last minute, so I was stressed out all day. But I finally submitted it and swung by a friend's house for a glass of wine. But now that the class is over, I think I can finally relax a bit and enjoy this week, even if I do still have to go to work.

YEAR 9, DAY 22!

We love a good dog sweater.

My friend Pam bought this one for me on clearance last year, so I had to make sure I wore it to church yesterday so she could see it. Someone said, "That sweater is very extra." I replied, "I'm also very extra, so it works."

YEAR 9, DAY 23!

Confession: I love cheeseburgers. If I could, I'd eat them every single day. So when I saw this sweater, I had to buy it!!

Cheeseburgers are also the reason I need to get back on my diet....

Year 9, Day 20 & 21

Well then. Another late-night double post. I'm not gonna apologize. NOT GONNA DO IT.

I hope you've all had a tremendous week. The last couple of days have been SO good and I'm looking forward to this next week! After all, it's ALMOST CHRISTMAS!

YEAR 9, DAY 20!

Today was the last of the homemade sweaters I rescued from the theater costume storage.

Nice.

YEAR 9, DAY 21!

Today was all about being GREEN. So if you are green with envy, it goes with the theme!

I went to see Wicked today at the Fox in STL (for the fourth time LOL), and I figured that wearing a Grinch sweater was appropriate because Elphaba is also green. Right? Is that too much of a stretch??

Sarah sent me this email:

"This is my attempt to get both of my daughters in a picture, and it represents their personalities. Minnie is shy and always tries to escape pictures. Grace is a social butterfly and a ham. Grace wore this to her ugly sweater day at school! I took the picture after a middle school band Christmas concert. #teacherlife"

Year 9, Day 19!

Maybe y'all should just expect late night post because I apparently can't get this posted in a timely manner. SORRY. But today has been excellent. Do you know why?...

YEAR 9, DAY 19!

IT'S STAR WARS DAY!

I just got home from seeing The Rise of Skywalker. I loved it. The critics can suck it.

Anyway, it is a tradition for me and Kendra to wear Star Wars Christmas sweaters to the premiere of each new movie.

Since this was the last of the saga, this was the end of our tradition! So sad.

But we look so cute!

Year 9, Day 18!

ONE WEEK TO CHRISTMAS!!!

YEAR 9, DAY 18!

I got my haircut today and the salon has this tree shaped like a dress. How fun!

My vest has a gingerbread man and a gingerbread house. Yummy.
