Year 5, Day 6!

Hey folks! I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday! 

Today's post will be a bit brief because I don't have much time today.

As I mentioned yesterday, the movie theater that I work for is having a Free Christmas Film Series. Since I decided to wear a few movie-themed sweaters this year, I had to dress for the occasion. We are showing CHRISTMAS VACATION today at 2 pm and Tuesday at 7 pm, so I bought this sweater....

Just FYI: I didn't wear this to church this morning.

It's not that this sweater is inappropriate...

It's just that the movie isn't. ha!

Year 5, Day 5!

I work for a movie theater, and this year we have a free Christmas film series. We kicked off the event today! I decided early on this year that I would get a couple sweaters this year to go with the movies. So that's why I look like a cotton-headed ninny muggins...

DAY 5!

Okay, so I know it doesn't look *exactly* like Buddy's outfit... 

But it's close enough! 

(It was also WAY cheaper.)

Year 5, Day 4!

It's Friday, but to me it feels like a Monday.

I can't seem to wake up. 

I need more coffee!

DAY 4!

You guys. It's cold outside. Put on your coats.

Year 5, Day 3!

Hi there! Once again, I'm sorry that this is later in the day than anticipated. (I'll probably stop apologizing for that soon... Life is busy.) ANWAY. I had the day off work, but I ran errands all day. I have to be somewhere in like 5 minutes.

So, without further ado... 

DAY 3!

I got a haircut! Woohoo! I'm feeling cute today.

Okay, so these shirts are my favorite. It's really comfy, and you can't go wrong with festive patches and a denim collar. 

I love that they are just mirror reflections of each other.

Year 5, Day 2!

WOW! I'm overwhelmed by everyone's excitement on Facebook yesterday! I'm so glad I decided to do the blog again this year! Woohoo!

Sorry today's post is a little bit late! I had to take my dad to the airport this morning and then hurry back to work. But I finally have about 2 minutes to get today's post written. Let's go!

DAY 2

IT'S A CHRISTMAS PUPPY!!!

Classic. You know you've seen a lady at Walmart wearing one.

If you know me well, you'll know that I'm not really a dog person. Or an animal person, really. It's not that I hate animals - promise! I just think the ones my family owns are annoying. I like it when my friends have animals. I can play with them when I visit, and then I can go away and not take care of them. ANYWAY... All that to say, I still think this puppy is kind of adorable... Even if he did ignore the "Do Not Open 'Til Christmas" tag.

Ok. So I forgot to grab my Christmas mug this morning on my way out the door... And I won't be back home until late tonight. I KNOW. I'M SORRY. Instead of making you wait for the post, I decided to write without it. But on the way home from the airport, I stopped at Dunkin' Donuts AND Starbucks (because I have a caffeine addiction). Here I am looking cute with my Joy and Satan cups.

Year Five, Day 1!

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! 

Can you believe this is the 5th year of this blog?! This year completely snuck up on me. Usually by this time, I have all my sweaters numbered and ready to go and have most of my Christmas shopping complete. This year... None of that is done! I've had to scramble to get things ready for the blog today. But, I think I'm ready. Maybe.

If this is your first time here, HI!!! Welcome! A brief history of my blog: when I was in college, I thought it would be hilarious to wear ugly Christmas sweaters for the first 25 days of December as a countdown for Christmas. Over the last year or two, I added Christmas mugs and Christmas music. That's basically it!

If you're a returning visitor, welcome back! I'm excited to take this Christmas journey with you yet again!

I'm going to be honest. I was a bit reluctant to start my blog up for the 5th year in a row. It's not that I haven't enjoyed it in the past... but there are three main reasons why I considered giving it up. First, this year has been insanely busy. I feel like I've been running non-stop since January! I got a new full-time job as well as a part-time job, performed in a musical, directed a musical, did a play, and sang with 2 choirs... Not to mention a bunch of changes in my personal life. The blog is a lot of work, and I was worried that I don't have the time to dedicate to make it "bigger and better." (My apologies if this year is a bit lackluster. ) Second, it's really expensive! Since Christmas Sweaters are becoming more popular every year, it's harder to find them in thrift stores. Brand new sweaters can be extremely pricey. Over the last few weeks, so many people have sent me links saying "Oh you need this one!" I'm extremely flattered, and I love looking at them... But I can't buy them all! Third, some family members are tired of it. "You're seriously doing that again?" Ok, thanks.

All that being said, a bunch of people have told me how much they are looking forward to my blog. That's why I decided to give it another year! We'll see how it goes! I've got some good sweaters this year. Since I work in marketing at a movie theater now, I have a few sweaters that will go along with some holiday movie events. That should be fun. Let's get started!

DAY ONE

You think after doing this the last 4 years, I'd learn to pose and not look like an idiot. NOPE!

Ew.

OKAY! So by now, you should know they drill. I always start of "mild" and work my way to the ugliest of the year. So, this one isn't too bad. But is it flattering? Nope!

It's got snowmen on it. 

I really don't have much else to say about it. It's not that bad!!
